Passports To Pearls

Travel Blog

Being an only child born in Johannesburg, South Africa, I was very fortunate to begin traveling at a very young age. My family and I would go on occasional Safaris and on road trips to enjoy timeshare and beach resorts. I will never forget the day my parents surprised me when I was supposed to go to Cape Town and instead ended up in London. It was my first international flight and I was hooked.

My parents and I immigrated to Dallas, Texas when I was 10. Ever since then, it has been home. I attended Oklahoma State University (GO POKES!) where I received my degree in Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations and a Minor in Sociology.  Making the move from a big city like Dallas to good ole’ Stillwater, Ok. wasn’t the easiest task, but boy has it impacted who I am today! After graduating and working in Oklahoma for a few years, I decided it was time to really start traveling and seeing the world.

I moved back to Dallas and began applying for jobs with different airlines. I am now based in New York working as a Flight Attendant with one of the biggest airlines in the world.

Giraffes, raspberries, country music, and shoes (you can never have too many pairs) are a few of my favorite things. I have a passion for traveling and helping others and am often called a “social butterfly.”

Blogging helps document my memories and share my adventures from what the world has to offer with different cultures, lifestyles, history, architecture and art. To learn a little more about Passports To Pearls, visit the Behind the Name page.
